Matt Kingman is the man behind Kingy’s Diesel Industries on the Sunshine Coast. With over 10 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic, Matt finds satisfaction in fixing his clients mechanical problems, then seeing the delight and relief plastered on their faces.
“I’ve gained a broad range of knowledge and experience working for Walter Wright Cranes, Frontline Equipment and Bechtel Construction. I love operating Kingy’s Diesel Industries. Every day is a different challenge — no two machines are the same, and there is nothing more satisfying in my work than fixing my client’s mechanical problems and seeing the relief on their faces. I’ve had the privilege of working for a number of large mining and construction companies including LCR group, John Holland and Thiess. I’ve got a lot of experience working on heavy mining equipment, the most notable job being when I worked on Curtis island at the APLNG site, however my passion truly lies in diesel cranes. When I’m not working, I love surfing, playing soccer and social gatherings, but nothing makes me smile more than coming home to see the smiles of my beautiful fiancé and my two gorgeous daughters Aurora and Leela.
